After a lengthy back and forth with Pinnacle support, one of their support reps dug up for me what exactly it is that PSDrvCheck does.
According to him:
1. It checks the upper and lower filters in the registry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
It will delete the incorrect entry (key refers to a driver which is not there).
2. It’s checking/correcting whether the drivers are in correct order.
So, what good or harm can this do to our machines?
