Can anyone tell me how can I burn VCD to CDR-80minutes using Nero?
The problem is, that this isn't the standard VCD.
I've got 2 files mpeg-1.
The first one 80 minutes time and 800MB size, bitrate video CBR - burns without any problems.
The second one 88 minutes and - watch this: 780MB size, bitrate video VBR - and here begins my problem, Nero says, that there is not enough space on media.
How can it be, that Nero had enough space for 800MB, but didn't for 780MB?

Try turning off standard complaince.
Usually, you cannot burn more than 80 minutes on a 700 mb cd-r/rw.

If you can really burn 80 min. max of VCD to cdr700mb, then what is the point of lowering video bitrate during compresion of mpg?
It doesn't matter whether the bitrate will have normally 1150kbps or let's say 1000kbps or 900kbps, because we can only burn 80 min. of VCD.
Cutting down the bitrate should allow us burning longer (according to time) VCD, so why doesn't it?

You cannot burn more than 80 min of STANDART VCD. If you turn the compliance off maybe this depend of muxing the VCD. If you are using TMPG mux as "non-standart VCD" otherwise Nero will try to pad the file to standart VCD and you will have bigger file. Personally I use VCDEasy and CDRDao, muxing as "non-standart VCD" in TMPG recently up to 120 min. on a 700 Mb CD without overburn... Good luck.

Abond help me.
When I set (using Tmpg - Setting/System) 'system type': MPEG1-VBR - file size is 780MB (good),
but when I set MPEG1 non-standard - size is 880MB !!!! :(
What am I doing wrong?

There must be some misunderstanding eather you don't get my point or I don't get yours.
That's why I want to show you what I set and want you to tell me what I do wrong.

With these sets I get mpg bigger than I want.
