I know some people who have quite a number of DVDs but alot of them are still wrapped. They say they'll get around to watching it but never do and it's still wrapped after a couple of years.
Besides having an original wrapped DVD kept for collector's reason, what is the longest unimportant wrapped DVD that you say you were going to watch and hasn't yet? Looking at my collection, I have "The Astronaut's Wife" unopened and unwatched. I bought it when it came out back in 2000. I don't think I'll ever have the motivation to watch it now. Maybe I'll give it away as a Christmas present this year. :p

Hello 2Cool.
I have the Green Mile, r1 unopened but watched through my r2 version. I just had heard so good things back then that I ordered and received from amazon but didn't watch it until r2 released and bought that one too.

"Lost In Space" from 2001. It was on sale ("sell through" at Blockbuster) for $6. The girls' spacesuits are OK, but that Friends' guy?

Star Trek: First Contact...had it in the package for a year and a half. Why? Because when I bought it back then, I thought my parents would be getting a dvd player soon after. They didn't for over a year...so I had no way to watch it till they finally got one.:P

I'd never leave a DVD wrapped, even if I wouldn't want to watch it (yet). When I have something new, I just have to open it and test it - it's the same with everything I buy (even with toothpaste: I open the new tube even when the old one is still full, only because I want to taste the new stuff - but only when I bought a new brand, of course) :D
-- but I had one DVD that I never watched (just sold it on ebay a few days ago). It was a budget version (never been wrapped anyways) of the German movie "Der Eisbär". I had it for about 3 years, I also have a Divx copy of it, but never watched it. I've seen a few scenes from it and never had the desire to see the whole film...
