If I rip at 4:3, 640x480 DVD, DVDDecrypter says it's 720x480 but it also says it has a 4:3 aspect ratio(0xE0-Video-720x480(NTSC)/4:3) When I load it up into GKnot, it's definately stretched out to 720x480, but I go ahead and select 4:3 as my input aspect ratio. I convert it and it looks fine, back to the 4:3 it was orriginally....Do I have some DVD Decrypter settings wrong?

Another quick question about Gknot's output resolutions - If I don't want to crop the video, is there any way to set the output resolution the same as the DVD's? If the input is 720x480, I want my .avi to be 720x480. It always seems to give me some interesting numbers.

Thanks
Jonathan

How do you know it's 640x480 ? If it is, it's not a DVD.

DVD's contain resolution information that can be one of either:

720x480(720x576)
704x480(704x576)
352x480(352x576)
352x240(352x288)

Though I would suspect would always, or nearly always be the top one.
