Help Lol

HI ALL.
well yes im new to this ,ive got a archos dvd-r-rw etc etc .
now ive ripped using dvd ripper which freezzes once at 99% complete and dosnt go any further ???.then i used smart ripper which works great and then ive used dvd shrink to compile what i want ,transferred those files to my desk top in a seperate folder and renamed it ,then thats as far as i can get ive tried burning using nero but with no success ,iknow im missing something along the proccess from ripping to watching on new dvd but my brains went numb ,after 2 solid weeks 5 hrs at night, every night trying to suss this thing out im now close to brain death can someone plz give me a simple a-z guide on what to do i.e from ripping to burning ,
ill figure this out yet ,
from what ive seen, alot of work time and effort has gone into these various software programmesand i for one will fully support the developers.

Welcome to the forums![list=1] Check out www.doom9.org, and click on "DVD Basics" -- then click on "Guides".

Transcoding video and audio is often a complex process. If you use one of the standard processes in the guides, and then run into trouble, you'll probably be able to get excellent help from others, here.

Next time, please use a better title for your post, since it doesn't describe your problem.

like i said i very new to this and will adere to all the rules and regs ,many thanks for the info .will have a good look and get back later on my progress..
