Kind of a long title for this forum. How about just "Transcoding programs" ??

IC7 isn't a transcoding program but an encoder
dvd2one, dvd95copy, dvdshrink are transcoding programs

Yah, but they are even less of a "One-click" program moniker.

I don't like the name either, seems like a put-down, but I didn't choose it. My suggestions in the discussion of a new, less specific title, were more along the lines that you guys are saying.

How 'bout "No Brainer Backup Solutions" :D
Any which way, I knew where to look. With all the good programs (and their updates) coming to light a more representative 'working' title was a good idea. :)

Consumer Backup Products, maybe? Doesn't have the same ring as "Backing Up for Dummies" but it's a little less condescending.

Are you sure about that? For some reason, I thought IC was still a transcoder, but at a deeper level than DVD2One or DVD95Copy.

Volnar, I think IC is both a transcoder and encoder.
