Problem with DVD to AVI conversion

hi,
I converted 4 Vob files into avi using DVD2AVI 1.83
now the problme is...it convered audio in to diff files (.ac3) and video in avi so how merge all the files now ?

coz right now i cant hear any audio from avi file but the video is perfect.

can anyone help me ?

hi and welcome to the forum
first of all: dvd2avi is a little old. it is no longer used for actually creating the .avi files, but rather to just frameserve. you can read up on new methods and things like frameserving in the doom9.org guides (http://www.doom9.org/guides.htm)

if you just want to merge the ac3 audio into the avi file you can use avimuxgui or virtualdubmod. you can find them in the doom9 download section (http://www.doom9.org/software.htm). especially
here (http://www.doom9.org/divx-encoding.htm)

if you want to convert the audio to mp3 first (recommended for 1 CD rips etc) you can use besweet to convert the ac3 file into an mp3 file. then you can actually mux (that is how merging audio and video is called) the two files again with avimuxgui and virtualdubmod. respective guides can all be found on doom9 but here's some links: besweet ac3->mp3 (http://www.doom9.org/ac3tomp3.htm)

avimuxgui is simple enough to use, there's no guide for it i guess!!
