I've been using their +RW(!) for some time now; they haven't let me down yet: "OptoDisk DVD+RW 4.7 [OP470-000]"

This is what Optodisc is read like in a Toshiba 1502:

alex, what program did you use? it looks familiar...

DA

PS: although the graphs speak for themselves, in actual every-day use, i never had any problems using and re-using my 10 optodisc dvd-rws in my internal drives and stand alone dvd-player.

It's Nero DVD Speed.

The Toshiba SD-M 1502 is the only drive I know which can read DVD-RW at that speed (officially, it doesn't support them at all; it just reads them as plain DVD-ROM discs). Most drives can do 9x, 6x or even only 5x.

With it's very high read speed, it's of course veeeeeery sensitive to lower quality media.
When reading Optodisc media in a Pioneer 115 or LiteOn 165 DVD-ROM, there is a smooth graph.

BTW, here's Princo:

Even that one doesn't show glitches on that Pioneer / LiteOn drive.
