Any of you could help me? I wish to make a program to obtain the average and max bitrate from a MPEG-2 bitstream. Now i´m reading sequece headers, gop headers, picture headers, based on routines from MPEG Software Simulation Group and bbTools, I´m obtaining all the important parameters from the bitstream, but I don´t know how to calculate bitrates. Should any of you help me?
