Personal ffdshow settings

For those of you who use ffdshow to decode your files, I was wondering in general which settings do you like to keep on in general for improved playback? I mainly watch anime on my pc, and I have found that putting the postprocessing up to the maximum preset level and at 200% seems to effectively get rid of noise without losing much detail (it's probably a bit of overkill, but I was quite suprised to see the results). I've tried some sharpening filters, and although results look pretty good (particularly from msharp and asharp), I get a lot of wierdness around the lines (more due to the source than anything else). I'd be interested to hear of any particular filters or combination of filters you found to improve playback, whether it is for anime or anything else.

I have found one particular setting as a very good de-noiser particular for older divx 3.11 movies and cartoons like Simpsons.

And that is under blur/soften-tab. Try to enable Luma (I am not at home right now so I dont remember settings name correctly, but it is located at the middle of those alternatives and starts with luma-word..) with treshold like 50-80 and you get rid of almost every garbage without softening too much particular in cartoons.
Remember to tick off all other settings in Blur-tab.

Also Msharpen works for Simpsons pretty well with settings like treshold 15-20 and strongness 100%
