Oki seems like more and more people stick to DVD95copy. I'm still using InstantCopy, because it has worked great so far(execpt for MATRIX). I just wonder why people starts to pick DVD95copy for InstantCopy? Whats the main adventages whit DVD95Copy?

I do care about the quality and for you people that use both progs, which pruduce the best quality?

using the complete 4.37Gb is the main one for me :D

use my DVDInstant95Copy method and you get even better main movie quality than IC or DVD95Copy could ever give when ever used alone

IC main movie benefits from DVD95Copy's excellent compression of menu/extras saving 100's of MB's so allowing more for main movie than IC could ever offer (over 10% extra) and DVD95Copy benefits from the extra quality main movie produced by IC and always spits out 4.37Gb

High quality backups with minimum of fuss :p

p.s. IC will always beat the rest regarding quality for main movie but IC wastes space by undersizing, phantom MB's, and not showing 'true' video sizes, so the quality advantage is lost:(

Just check up mrbass comparision between Instant and DVD95 and DVD95 looks blocky and when Instant looks just find. So it looks to me that Instant produce better quality!

thats a one to one filesize comparision which relates to a movie only and IC will win on most occasions at 60%+

but for a 1:1 the quality issue changes due to IC's inability to fully utilise the full 4.37Gb because of 3 major 'bugs' and this sometimes results in DVD95Copy actually producing better quality for the main movie as it alloactes over 10% more space to it

so that's I use IC just for the movie using the same space as DVD95copy allocates and then using DVD95Copy to reduce extras so I get a 10%+ increase in IC quality which is better than DVD95Copy or IC could prodeuce when used separately

People lucky enough to have both and try this method have never looked back as nothing else can produce the same results for 1:1 by itself

After reading a number of posts about DVD95Copy I decided to buy it. It's image quality seems to consistently beat DVD2One's, but not IC's. Even assuming IC gets its' 'bugs' worked out, DVD95Copy still has the advantage of being a lot faster. I've been doing the same procedure as MisterX, although sometimes I'll use CCE to do my main movie and "95" the rest of the DVD. Either way, it's a nice tool to have in your arsenal no matter how you use it.

Please could someone explain how you use both pieces of software as stated above ie: what you have to do and in what order. Cant seem to find any guides that explain about doing it this way.

@RMA
If you use CCE, encode the video to roughly 70% of its original size. More or less depending on the number of extras. Recreate a vob set w/ Maestro or Scenarist and then use IFOUpdate to insert it back into your VIDEO_TS directory. (If you read TriLight's guide you'll get a good idea on how to do this if you've never done it before.) After that, just run DVD95Copy on the VIDEO_TS, select "No Compression" for the title set with the main movie you encoded in CCE. Tweak the percentages for extras depending on your own tastes.

If you want to use InstantCopy, set every title set and menu to 100% except for the main movie. Use 70% or whatever feels right for the situation for the main movie. After IC creates the .pdi, extract it to your HD so you can run DVD95Copy on the VIDEO_TS. Just as above, select "No Compression" for the title set containing the main movie, and use whatever percentages you want for the remaining title sets.

Remember though, you have to select "Fit to DVDR" for at least one title set in DVD95Copy. Just make sure you don't select it for your main movie!

@ RMA

there's a basic HYBRID guide in my sig that will tell you how to get the best out of using InstantCopy and DVD95copy together is Perfect Harmony :)

might look complicated but again it's easy once you've done it a couple of times and you won't even need the guide at all, just the calculator bit

then you will get the same excellent results I have had for ages :D

On most occasions I use over 80% (lowest 74% so far) for the main movie title using this method as the slight difference in quality for the time/effort using such high values is just not worth it in any way for me to use CCE and even more so regarding multiple PGC movie's

If I was ever forced to use anything lower than say 70% as I kept more extras or wanted higher quality extras I'd split the DVD cos I'd just put a higher(due to lack of extras) quality movie on the main DVD along with the menu's and some extras that I may want to watch without swapping DVD's and then put all the menu/extras at high qulaity on another £0.80/$1 DVD

Is this not what some DVD's are actually like?. Star Wars/Gladiator/Spiderman etc spring to mind, movie on one and Extras on another :)

Less time, less hassle but more quality (which is what it's all about) and a very rare occasion I may have to do it but it's all down to the user I suppose :)
