Hello Guys,
I just got my Pioneer DVD (the a05 series)
For the first time, I've created some img file with imgtool.
When I try to write the .img file with DVD decrypter, for some reason the 'write rate' is about 1,400KB/s (which is about x1 speed)
Do you have any idea why the writing is that slow?
There's anything I can do about it?
Thanks a lot.

Perhaps because you're burning to 1x rated discs?
Either that, or you dont have DMA enabled or something.

Nah,
I found the problem,
Probably the burning speed is limited by the drive and it works fine with certain medias (If the media is certified by the Pioneer drive)
So to make it work faster than x1 with any medias a new hacked firmware should be installed on the Pioneer drive :)
Thanks for the answer anyway :)

So what I said is correct then!
I really wouldnt waste your time flashing with a hacked 2x4all or whatever firmware. Discs are limited to certain speeds for a reason - that reason normally being they DO NOT WORK if burnt quicker!!!
Trust me, I've got a 104 myself and burning beyond the recommended speed for some discs will just give you a nice coaster.

People will not learn that before seing corresponding PI/PO scans, and people won't make such scans unless they have a player which doesn't read these crap burns...and even than, people would continue to see this (http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/CDF/KProbe_Scans/DVD_Brennquali/Princo/Princo_2x.gif) as normal, because discs which burn like that (http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/CDF/KProbe_Scans/DVD_Brennquali/Maxell/Maxell_2x.gif) are too expensive...
