I've have tried 3 ways to burn an authored and edited DVD, imgtool 89 and burn with decrypter, nero, and recordnow max 4.5. All have been unsuccessful with DVD+R and DVD+RW. WIth the decrypter I get an I/O error, and nero, a file reallocation error, and for recordnow max, an unknown error. I've been reading every solution possible and seems like noone has come up with the perfect solution to burning. Majority sum it up to media related problems. Decrypter recently released new version with I/O errors ignore option, this doesn't work, still get the same problem. I've made sure my files were working including VTS sectors and region free options all included. Someone come up with a solution...

Oh right, I already answered this over at the dvd decrypter support forum.

Your drive might be faulty. I suggest you contact the people who make it and send them the error you posted above. Perhaps they can tell you what ASC: 0x91 ASCQ: 0xC4 means (Thats the important bit from the sense area data).

Concluded that the problem is my media...memorex DVD+R. With the new version of decrypter, I ran the I/O debug mode on all my successfully burnt DVD's and noticed a difference with the readings of my DVD's that cannot be burnt. With the DVD's that cannot be burnt I get:

E 23:57:45 [0:0:0] IDE-DVD DVDRW6002 1.13 (F:) - CDB: AD 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 08 00 00 - SENSE: 24 00
E 23:57:45 [0:0:0] IDE-DVD DVDRW6002 1.13 (F:) - CDB: AD 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 08 04 00 00 - SENSE: 24 00
E 23:57:45 [0:0:0] IDE-DVD DVDRW6002 1.13 (F:) - CDB: AD 00 00 00 00 00 00 0E 00 44 00 00 - SENSE: 24 00

THEN THE REST IS OK WITH REPITITIONS OF:
I 23:57:47 [0:0:0] IDE-DVD DVDRW6002 1.13 (F:) - CDB: 00 00 00 00 00 00
I 23:57:48 [0:0:0] IDE-DVD DVDRW6002 1.13 (F:) - CDB: 00 00 00 00 00 00
I 23:57:49 [0:0:0] IDE-DVD DVDRW6002 1.13 (F:) - CDB: 00 00 00 00 00 00

With the DVD's that burned successful, I get only 1 error:
E 00:02:58 [0:0:0] IDE-DVD DVDRW6002 1.13 (F:) - CDB: AD 00 00 00 00 00 00 0E 00 44 00 00 - SENSE: 24 00

THEN THE REST:
I 00:02:30 [0:0:0] IDE-DVD DVDRW6002 1.13 (F:) - CDB: 00 00 00 00 00 00

I've noticed that all the DVD's that cannot burn includes that 3 errors that I posted, and all the DVD's that burn OK, include that 1 error only. By any chance what does this error stand for and if this indicates bad media?
