View Full Version : Blue tint to my svcd after converting from avi

I've got the latest dvd2svcd, Gordion Knot & TMPGEnc programs. I'm using XP pro, a 2.6ghz AMD and am not getting the results I want. I'm using the avi to svcd function of dvd2svcd to make the conversion.

When I'm done with the renderings I look at them & see a pronounced blue tint to the video. I thought it might be my monitor but after burning the svcd to CD it indeed is a blue tint.

This has happened on all the different avis I've tried to make SVCDs out of.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Thanks for the link. After reading the posts I still can't find where or how to insert the swapuv() command and can't find a location in dvd2svcd to insert it, I can't find a location to enter filters nor is there an avisynth.ini to place it in. Besides, if it's something I'll have to do each time I make a conversion from an avi it would be too problematic as I run such things as dvd2svcd at night while I'm asleep.

I think I'll just go back to the older version of avisynth since from the posts it doesn't seem to reflect the problem.

I greatly appreciate the help

Hi-

It is true that you have to pause the process to insert the line in the .avs. In the FrameServer Tab, you tick "Edit As Part Of Video Encoding", and then when the .avs pops up on the screen, you add the line:

SwapUV()

right after the AviSource line. I'm sure someone will report on how to edit the dvd2svcd.ini file so you don't have to edit the .avs, but I don't know how to do that. But you're right, this problem has only popped up recently, with the spread of the YV12 versions of AviSynth, and now with DVD2SVCD using those versions.
