Hi guys,
Just a question on java runtime program or whatever they are called. I'm not too sure.
Here's the breakdown, microsoft used to provide this javaruntime thingy which was automatically downloaded the first time you visited a webpage which required it. It seems that microsoft does not offer that anymore and thus when I visit some websites which require such files (after I have formated my hdd) I couldn't use certain functions and some parts of the webpage doesn't load up properly.
It's rather irritating so I decided to solve the problem by using this Sun Java Runtime files or whatever you call it. Most of the webpage load up properly at least but there's always parts of the webpage that still doesn't load up properly, and sometimes where picture files are suppose to appear eg. icons on bulletin board little stuff like that I have to manually right click and select show picture. But the major problem is whole sub "windows" will not show up, instead I get a IE error in that little window saying some error which I cannot fully see cuz it's a small frame within the whole website. It's quite frustrating. Can anyone help?
Lastly I visited CNN.com and was view the War On Iraq section, there was this special section where you could view the various weapons and units used in the war in 3D but required a third party plug-in. I can't install the plug in and keep getting an error saying that my active X is disable or something I tried lowering the security settings but still to no avail. Why is IE6 so problematic? Can someone help me with this too?
Cheers.
