mpv size 6.9GB vob size 4.2GB?

I am trying to backup Jackass and having a real hard time. I tried to rip with internal but it failed so I used V-strip. When trying to use multi pass (3) it locks up at 15-16% (CCE). When using one pass VBR it gives me a MPV file larger thatn the input file mpv 6.9GB vob total 4.2 GB? Any ideas?
Things I've already tried:
Changing DLL in frameserver
Changing passes from multi to single.
Tried with rip from Smartripper, internal and v-strip.
Changing the Avisynth filter from bicubic to simple.
Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

Still no luck. CCE crashed at 23%. It was already at 280mb at 20%. I'm trying CBR to see what it will do. Any other suggestions?

Sound like there maybe an issue with the original VOB's.
Internal Rountines failed as you said.
I would look there first before going crazy.
Play the VOB's in PowerDVD or WinDVD and make sure they are OK.

If they appear to be OK I would re-rip them through the Internal Rountines just incase something small is wrong that might be able to be fixed.

Might also try CCE 2.62 or even maybe 2.66.

CBR made it through, it did get a little crazy in the disco truck scene with the strobe light. I think maybe my cce is having issues. I'll try re-installing.
