This is what I tried to do:
- use dvd shrink to decrypt, select and crop the movie only (i.e. remove credits),and remove unwanted streams.
- then run dvd2one to fit to 4.38 GB.
I dont use dvd shrink to transcode as i want to use the whole 4.38GB. with dvd shrink u have limited choices as to the final size of the movie.
when i start running dvd2one with the output of dvd shrink I get an "encrypted" data error message.
May be I will run dvddecrypter before i run dvd shrink.

DDVD2One 1.1.2 doesnt like to process the output of DVDShrink 1.02.
i ised dvddecrypter file mode to rip a movie and used dvdshrink to crop titles & credits. Shrunk the movie from 6.1GB to 5.8GB.
i then tried to feed the output of dvd shrink to dvd2one to compress it to 4.37GB.
after about 5 seconds, i get the "enecrypted" data error.
i am now using the output of dvd decrypter to process in dvd2one and it is working fine.
oh well... i thought i am smart to use dvd shrink to crop the movie and then process it in dvd2one. i am not that smart after all :-)

I also get the exact same message (somewhere at 5% of the encode) when I use the reauthored output of dvdshrink as input for dvd2one.

I had this problem today. Used DVDDecrypter to rip to harddisk and then used DVDShrink with Region 1 only checked. Trying to run the output of DVDShrink through DVD2One gives the encryption error. What Region selections did others use when using DVDShrink? I would think that it has to be related to the processing performed by DVDShrink, since DVDDecrypter should have removed any encryption when storing to harddisk.
Thanks

after decrypting with dvddecrypter, when i opened dvd shrink, in the region selection screen all regions were pre-selected. may be it defaulted to the previous selection within dvd shrink. in my case all the regions had a check mark.

I upgraded to dvd2one 1.1.2 and dvd shrink to 1.03.
Worked fine. No more encrypted data error reported by dvd2one.
A Beautiful Mind: Used DVDShrink to select just the movie (no menus pls) and to remove the credits at the end and the various logos in the front. Processed thru DVD2one to remove unwanted streams and re-encode to get to the magic number of 4.37. Burned with Nero.
PERFECT!!!!
DVD Shrink & DVD2One = Gr8 combo
