View Full Version : How to convert Open DivX to DivX ?

I have some videos made in OpenDivX and I would like to convert it to DivX or whatever ... is there any possible way to do that ?
I can't play them in anything except sh***y The Playa which produce tons of problems (crashing at different points, occasional lipsync etc.) ... if there is no way to convert, maybe somebody know is there any decent other OpenDivX player ?

Have you tried altering the fourcc? Perhaps then ffdshow or the divx decoder filter woild play it back.

If i remember correctly, the 4cc of opendivx was 'DIVX', just like with the later codec. Maybe opendivx was not 100% compatible with the standard, otherwise the ffdshow or divx would play it back without any problem.

Maybe he hasn't tried installing ffdshow.. you can get it at http://ffdshow.doesntexist.com

I have some old version of ffdshow but doesn't help ... I will try with nevest. Thanks for tip!
