How do I increase the brightness of an .mpg file? Should I maybe convert it to .avi first?

on your computer monitor, one of those many buttons or turn-thingies should increase/decrease the brightness of your computer monitor, or change the setting in your movie player.

Sthsvcd (freeware) has a brightness adjustment with a pretty big range. A download link can be found via the search engine.
