Remember this won't work for many movies but it will be quite a few..you'd be surprised. This can also be done with ifoedit too. This is only if you want main movie ONLY (not menus, extras, etc.). Video is untouched. We just take out some unwanted audio also sometimes to
DVDToolbox and DVDShrink are both free.
DVDToolbox first you must rip with dvdecrypter and then determine if you are able to get MM+A+S (Main Movie+Audio) stream stripped size down to 4.37GB. If you attempt to get stream sizes directly from DVD with DVDToolbox it'll be inaccurate so don't attempt it.
DVDShrink you can determine if it'll do it directly from the DVD inserted in the DVD-ROM since it has built-in decrypting capability.
Easy of use...DVDToolbox is just a tad easier to use than DVDShrink for this purpose but not too much.
Ok here's the test.
Toy Story NTSC R1 is 4.63GB which we need to get to 4.37GB.
DVDToolbox Toystory:
DVDDecrypter to rip took 10mins all files to hd. Then 5 mins to strip stream it (source and destination on two separate harddrives.) Will probably take 10mins if doing to same destination. If you don't have two physical harddrives (two partitions could still be same hd remember). Total time 15mins to 20mins (however you must wait till it's ripped to hd and then come back to your computer)
DVDSrhink Toystory:
DVDSrhink directly from dvd-rom. Total time 11mins. But the biggest thing is you don't have to come back to your computer it's basically just a matter of seting your parameters and your good to go. Come back and burn those video files.
Both DVDShrink and DVDToolbox are quicker than dvd2one (I'm talking about no transcoding necessary here, when unchecking unwanted audio in dvd2one and main movie only). dvd2one takes 15 mins while dvdshrink and dvdtoolbox both take half that amount of time.
I only have dvdtoolbox guide now but will throw up a dvdshrink guide for those who can't figure it out (pretty easy though) to do main movie only in dvdshrink.
