Hi there,

I've just finished a DVD for a music band and am having some problems. I initially put it onto a DVD-RW disc so that my friend could tell me of any problems. He said that there were a few glitches so I just re-encoded the material. However, the glitches (at random points) still occured. Thinking it was the DVD-RW disc I put it onto a DVD-R disc but to no avail. I am using TDK DVD-R discs in addition to the RecordNow software supplied with my Sony DRU-500A.. It played fine on my Xbox and a Sony DVD player.. v.strange :-(

1. Try lowering your write speed.

2. Create an image file of you video_ts/audio_ts folder and burn that.

3. Double check to ensure you have true TDK discs (either TDK logo, or dark purple dye).

4. If it's skippign a lot on his player, it could be a good indication that DVD player is not fully DVD-R compatible.
