View Full Version : Interlaced playback?

Greetings, here is your nasty troubler again.

I recently noticed, that my monitor has this.. feature. Fullscreen 640x480 modes it shows interlaced. I kinda like that - esp when watching movies, the effect is kinky, and movie looks more "real" that way (maybe it's only me?:)

So I thought, how about getting some more out of it? Is there any way to tell decoder (or at least renderer), that my screen is interlaced, and that half of the stuff it decodes I won't see anyway, so he could save some CPU cycles, thus producing more smooth playback? (I'm using oooooold C300A CPU, so, rarely, but sometimes I have problems with playback :) And I don't really like turning off all background apps..)

So, is this possible, and if so, then how :)

Thanks!
