I have used testmode in dvd decrypter. As I thought in a test mode the program is testwriting but the program was writing. After a few minutes I stopped decrypter and had a coaster. What is the meaning of Testmode in DVD Decrypter?

Sorry, this only works for cd-r/cd-rw/dvd-r/-rw media.
If you were using any of the + format, it would actually write to it.

There doesnt appear to be a 'test' feature in the dvd+r specs.

Shame really :(

I've already improved 3.1.5.0 to issue a warning to hopefully stop such things from happening.

Still, it's a very nice program to work and use.

As I tryed to format some +RW I searched myself banana's to find an option FORMAT in any write program.
Is it possible to make a BUTTON in your program with the FORMAT RW option, maybe next to the BURN-Proof option. I know it is in your program and also used it after searching this forum. (So I know it is right click on the drive.)A button on top would be easyer.
Also I don't know if that is to the use of +RW. The DVD Decrypter program give's with the formatoption after a few seconds the message in the Log that the format is done, but the computer is still formating. It does not give a ready signal after it is really done. Also the message in the messagebox (Device information.) [Status: is formating] or something like that, does not change in [Formatted: Yes]
I look at the lamps of my hd and writer if that stops for a longer time than the format interval I'm closing DVD decrypter and start it again. It than says Formatted: YES
I hope you can do something with this.;)

There is a background and foreground part to formatting.
The program does the foreground bit, the drive itself does the background bit.

The program isnt ever going to poll the drive to see if its fully formatted. As soon as the foreground bit it done, the disc can be used - or at least that is true of my Sony 500AX.

As for formatting, its only done once so I see no need for a button.
The next version prompts you if the disc needs to be formatted before it can be burnt. Im sure that will be enough :)
