Basically everybody visiting Doom 9 is looking for information on DivX
because we love our movies. We want to be able to watch then agian
whenever we like. We all have our fovourite movies and most memorable
scenes in those movies. With most graphics cards having TV out these
days and an onboard SPDIF out becoming the norm, we can enjoy our DivX
movies on our home cinema setups with blistering original AC3 (or DTS)
sound.
I wanted to start this tread to invite people to submit their fovourite
DivX rips whether it be movie with best picture quality, best scenes
for AC3 demo, but also most challenging pan and scan scenes so other
readers can test their DivX + AC3 muxes settings over a SPDIF
connection.
Some movies look terrible no matter how you encode them. So list
them as well so other members don't have to feel bad about their rip
as well.
I for one found that my tranfer of MIB2 onto just one CD, produced one
of the best looking pictures I've ever seen. All my source DVD's are PAL. For showing off colours Goldmember is perfect (especially love
Chapter 4).
Please include the name of your movie plus chapter or scene and why
you like it or battled with it.
