I am really only interested in the movie only backups for maximum quality but every once and a while I would like to save a deleted scene or alternate ending. I understand how to demux and save to a separate vob file. I was thinking of just making a compilation disc of all the extras I need instead of wasting movie quality on something I will rarely watch. how would i author a dvd like this? would this be the best way to do it or should i just store the movie and extras I want on the same disc? but then dont you have to keep the menus and other things? im new at this and dont really know what to search for so I can get the answer.

thanks

I have a similar request. i want to create a Mini DVD with just the DVD extras on it, leaving out the main movie. This way my son can play the games and other fun bits on his PC. I have read the IFOedit guide, but it is biased (not unnaturally!) towards saving the movie. I know the DVD structure is important for all the extras to work. Can someone please provide guidance on this.
