Hi !
I'm trying to import the m2v file of Monsters inc PAL and all i get is a 12 seconds file !!!
I've read somewhere that it is because of a multi-pgc problem.
I have no time and don't want to do the extensive full disc backups of the doom guides, and always prefer to do a dvd9 to 5 with maestro in order to define the first languages and subs used.
The use of these backups are for my kids to put the disk on the dvd tray and watch the movies without further configurations, besides those defined by me in Maestro, like 1st play video, audio track, and subtitles.
So, help would be very appreciated !!!

In this case u should consider buying dvd2one, dvd95copy, Instantcopy.

I want to choose my audio and subs, and define the first plays.
You from your hi knowledge could give me a straight answer and tell me how to import a 1:28 minutes .m2v file demuxed from a set of vobs and make it stay like that. As you must have read in my post, what Maestro gives me is a 12 second video file.
Instead of that you gave me a don't know answer, and a don't want to help.
The aim of the forums is to help each other my friend !
Be cool, Nuno

I am very sorry that u took my answer as such. I didn't have such intention and I am quoting
I've read somewhere that it is because of a multi-pgc problem.
U should have read there also the way to overcome this problem in a detailed way.
I have no time and don't want to do the extensive full disc backups of the doom guides ...The use of these backups are for my kids to put the disk on the dvd tray and watch the movies without further configurations, besides those defined by me in Maestro, like 1st play video, audio track, and subtitles.
Wouldn't u agree that the dvd2one solution is the perfect choice for this situation. U do only the main movie, u choose to keep only the audio u want and subs and u can always edit the resulting ifo in ifoedit to define the default subtitle appearance or not.
I would thank someone who would point me such an easy solution to a problem that I am admitting I dont have time to delv into.
U should have known better, judging from my posts and channel presence that I always try to provide accurate suggestions and answers and more than willing to help everyone here.
However English is not my native language and sometimes I might not be using syntactically correct sentences thus allowing room for misinterpretation.
If this is such an occasion I am sorry, if not I insist that my answer is correct and on right on spot, given the facts from your statement.

Dear Oddiseus,
Nevertheless, i want to keep several audio tracks and subs.
I've looked into ifoedit post on choosing subs and audio, but it's not a straight and clear solution. I found several ifs.

dear nuno,
someone that knows me would think by now that there is something wrong cause I dont use programs like dvd2one and I disencourage others of using them. However in your case its the perfect solution. U can default your standalone player to your language audio and subs and if they r present they would selected by default.
I think that I ve said enough and maybe I am becoming a pain.
ps. after posting search and came up with this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47857) that deals exactly with your problem. I was reffering to this thread when I said that there was the answer in great detail earlier.

Hi Nuno,
I know what you are facing :(
I had the same problem, with that same movie!!
But I did noticed that the file was imported correctly using Scenarist ;), the downside is the dificulty to operate Scenarist ;(
Another option ( it works because that's what I have done with that title ) is to use the VOBRaptor to rip all the m2v files from each VOB ID, and them you just have to import them all ( with the correct order ;) ) to maestro ( don't forget to add also the "one file" AC3 audio that you got from DVD Decryptor)!
The downside of this is that VOBRaptor doesn't allow the full rip into one m2v file, so it forces you to work more LOL !!!
I hope you manage to backup your movie ( BTW mine was a Portuguese title, I can assume yours is too :) LOL )
Regards,
Fenix.

No problem :)
So did you manage to do it? Using Scenarist? Or Maestro/VOBRaptor?
Regards,
Fenix ( and yes re-born ) LOL

I don't use vobraptor because it's always crashing on my system. But tried the demuxing by vobid with vobedit but have always the same problem with the first m2v file - 12 seconds !!! With this one the only solution is by cell, but it's too much sand for my truck! LOL
So the solution resides in Scenarist. I'm using the doitfast4u method selecting only my main pgc and then import all the assets to scenarist, but have already a problem. If you can please read my post at http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=52011.
