Hi all,
I've been using GKnot for all my DVD ripping needs, however I was just thinking to myself, theres still "multiple steps" involved ie I have to be present at a couple of places during the rip. (I also use ogg for audio which makes it worse :) )
I was thinking to myself, "theres got to be some ripper out there where you can just put the DVD in, and (after setting up all the very customisable settings for the first time) hit the "go" button. Come back in a few hours and your movie is all done.
The settings that would HAVE to be implemented for this however would have to include:
1) Ogg vorbis for audio.
2) Instead of specifying a resolution each time u rip a movie, you specify a bit/pixel value and the program will automatically resize the movie for you each time, without you always having to set the movie size each time you rip a movie. I always go for a bit/pixel value of 0.21, so why would I want to always manually set the resolution in GKnot?
3) Specify a percentage of the total filesize you want your audio to be (eg 10%), with maybe a minimum and maximum bitrate as well. The program will then automatically choose a bitrate for the audio between the minimum and maximum you specified based on your percentage.
4) Autocrop the video for you.
5) Mux the video and audio together into an ogm file.
So how about it? Any comments, or anyone know of a program that can do all this?
