Hi,

I am ripping my first DVD to DivX5.

I ripped it to .avs, then did d2v-avi and it has no sound with blocked out dark areas. I think the chunky dark areas are due to a bits/(pixel*frame) lower than 0.20

I just don't know how to get the audio stream?
I open the .avs or .avi file in Nandub and it gives me the "No Input Stream to Extract" error when I try to 'save as .wav'

I'm noobed out. :(

The audio has to be dealed with separately the way your doing it.

I'd suggest that you read Doom9's Gordian Knot guide.
