I was woundering if anyone would be interested in have a analog surround prosesor which can extract True Left, True Right, True Centre, True Surround Left and True Surround Right from ANY stereo source. I ask because i have developed a system which can theortically do that. I have not tested it yet because I need the specs for ProLogicII, like where does the 90degere phase shift happen (Hz) and what is the donwmix specs.

Before I vote, I'd like to understand how this is going to work...

in a normal stereo source without any surround (like PLII) information, TRUE surround simply is not there, right?

cheers for your efforts, dude, but this kinds of chips are already available and in mass production.

this would not be on a chip, it would be done by high quality opamps and it would not have any channel steering or anything like that. it just would be able to place the sound how it supose to be, like if there is a stereo source with 500Hz on the left 1000Hz on both left and right and 2000Hz on the right. It would then extract it to the proper placements
