subtitles color

Hi,

I have white subtitles but with Black WIDE encircle. I used original IFO and many other IFO´s but nothing was happen.

Is it possible to reduce this horrible encircle ?

This subtitles looks really horrible :mad: :mad:

I have a similar problem.

I've got a DVD-R rip of Die Another Day that has subtitles with BLACK characters with a YELLOW outline :(

Is there any way within Ifoedit to edit these colors manually? I've tried copying the colors from another .IFO with the Copy and Paste Subtitle Colors option, but it's hard to find a good source that will make the subtitles look ok :)

I'l' give it a shot but you gotta do it manually though since you wouldn't have this source available for copying and pasting. Try changing all your Subtitle color values to 128.

I am really a newbie and hope you don't mind my stupid question: I met the same problem: the new subtitle's color doesn't match the original one. the original color is white text with a black outline. and my new one is black text with a white outline. It look strange and I don't know where can I correct it well.

If you have the original (and we all do, right?) use IfoEdit or IfoUpdate to copy the CLUT from the PGC.

CLUT (Color LookUp Table )
"An Index that maps a limited range of color values to a full range of values such as RGB or YUV". Quote from the DVD Authoring & Production book.

No doom9, no me. All my dvd knowleadge come from DOOM9, and 2cool's cheap sheets are great guides for us!

But problem seems always with me. Today I got a problem about strip VOB and modify button to redirctory the newVOB. I have seen 2cool wrote one guide to strip VOB before but when I use search engine I found nothing.Poooooooooooooooor............

Maybe I can describe my problem like this:

The original Menu:

Special feather

When I click the "special feather", it will show me another menu: bouns detail menu:

MTV

------------------------------------

I only want to keep the MTV. and when I click the "Special feather" button, it will show me the MTV direct.

But I have no idea to do this!:( :(

First of all, this is a completely new topic so you should've posted a new thread. Maybe mpucoder or another moderator can move this out.

Okay, there are some options I can think off but I just want to know something from you first. Do you need to strip to save space since keeping your unwanted Details pushes it beyond the 4.37GB limit? Or... your whole DVD can fit nicely on a DVDR and you just want to disable the Detail clips so that only your MTV clip plays.

As you say,I need to strip to save space.
I want to keep the main movie and MTV in my DVDR. And the MTV is the ONLY part of the "Special Feather".
In original DVD9, "Special Feather" contains many contents. But I ONLY need MTV part. And I need show the MTV when I click the "Special Feather" button.But in the original DVD,when I click the "Special Feather",it will show me another menu.

How much space do you need to get rid off so that your DVD would fit? Does your movie have any unwanted languages and subtitles you don't need? I'd start with stripping with these first. ;)

The "Special Feather" is 1.3G, and the MTV part is 129M, if I only keep the MTV and main movie, it can put in one DVDR.

Like this:
------------------------------------
DVD9
|_Main movie: 4.01G
|_Special Feather:1.3G(MTV:129M,Other: 1.1G)
Total: 5.13G
------------------------------------

If I keep only main movie and MTV(total 4.1G),it's good fit on my DVDR.

Yep, sort of offtopic, but:
What you want to do depends on how menu logic is implemented. Quite often simple copying of the command associated with one button to another button will do the job. In your case you need to copy MTV button's command to your "Special features" button.

Any other tools to help me to do that? Or how to analyse the structure of the IFO file?

I use menuedit to edit my menu, but if I delete one of those existing button, it seems destroy the menu structure--menu does work.
I try to change pre command to "NOP" or other all settings, same result.

I don't know how to copy & paste a command to a button.sad....
