Hi,
I am little confused on how to make backups of my dvds. Most are copyrighted so I used Smartripper to rip the movie Ninja Scroll to my hard drive then used Roxio to burn to a blank DVD+R. The DVD+R won't play on my computer or on my standalone dvd player. I am not sure if I got all the files I need. Here is the files that I burned to the disk:
vts_01.d2v,
vts_01.idx,
vts_01.lst,
vts_01_0,
vts_01_1.vob,
vts_01_2.vob,
vts_01_3.vob,
vts_01_4.vob,
vts_01_INFO
What am I missing to play the DVD+R on my standalone and on my computer? What I am I doing wrong? Any help is welcomed.
Thanks

Look in the DVD forum section. There you will find complete help for doing this. Also you could look into the documents section of this board and find some guides.

I'd start with these two "meta-guides"...

DVD Basics (http://www.doom9.org/dvd-basics.htm) 14 different guides for newbies to help them understand DVDs, ripping, conversion from film to video, etc.

DVD backup (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdr-guides.htm) points to many DVD->DVD+/-R guides in three categories: Authoring, Encoding, and of course, Backup.
