What would be a cheap decoding PCI card I could put in a Windows XP machine running Scenarist 2.8, and use it to output a DVD simulation from the Scenarist simulation window. Because at the moment just using software and playing the simulation back on the computer screen the results are rubbish, and I cant test the disk properly without burning it to a DVD-RW disk first, which is slow. I do always burn a test disk anyway but it would be nice to see the simulation running properly on an external TV moniter with synced sound. Would this be possible with a cheep decoder card, if so which one could I buy here in the UK ?
Many thanks in advance,
Speedy.

The best one is the cinemaster 3 from sonic but it an expensive one (for a decoder) else you can use a netstream 2000 from sigma design but it's not very stable.

I use a netstream 2000 on Scenarist and yeah its not very stable. pretty much given up using it. why not complile it then use WinDVD or SonicCineplayer to play the videoTS. if you have a half decent graphics card then it should play fine . Bit of a pain but it saves burning a DVD

I do the same as BishOp, compile the project then open the videots file in Win DVD Platinum to preview properly. My projects involve getting accurate sync with audio and video sources from different regions. I wouldve gone thru hundreds of discs if I needed to burn to preview!!!
