Hi all,
Sincerely sorry if this has been answered before (I'm pretty sure it must have been, but I couldn't find it).
I am backuping a movie with the excellent DIF4U + DOCCE4U + Reauthorist DVD-survival-kit, everything's ok, no problems with these great tools anymore. Now my question here is more about animated menus.
I usually keep original menus intact, since they are generally small enough and don't need reencoding. Now, on this very DVD, it appears VTS_01_0.VOB is more than 1GB and it only contains the main animated title menu for the DVD.
I can't imagine keeping 1GB just for this so I'd like to reencode it to a more "convenient" size to allow more room for the movie itself.
OK, I demuxed, reencoded, and so on, but now, how will I reimport this into Scenarist and regenerate the same structure as the original one? I succeeded in regenerating a menu from my encoded Mpv and audio in scenarist, but I didn't have all the subpictures for buttons so the menu is pretty..uninteractive
Should I use Vobsub or subrip to extract menu subpicture and use these as subpicture channel in Scenarist at reauthoring time ?
Any help will be appreciated (but not rewarded, stop dreaming :D )
