DVD2One
Instant Copy 7
DVD2DVD-R
DVDToolbox
IfoEdit
DoItFast4U/DoCCE4U(/ReAuthorist)
Fastest way, if you only want the main movie is DVD2One.
If the main movie can be made to fit on 1 DVD±R then DVDToolbox is also both quick and somewhat cheaper (nagbox shareware). This is also useful for splitting DVD's.
Instant Copy is the easy solution if you want to keep everything and choose how much Movie/ extras should be compressed.
DVD2DVD-R does about the same things as IC7.
IfoEdit is always useful to learn, it can split movies, you can use it to remove features etc.
DIF4U/DCCE4U/ReAuthorist is an up and coming way of doing full DVD9->DVD5 rips. Unfortunately it requires CCE and Scenarist which both are very expensive. Also ReAuthorist hasn't been released yet but is still in beta testing. This method therefor requires a lot of manual interaction in order to recreate the DVD structure.
The easy way to start is to use DVD2One or IC7 first, then move on to DVDToolbox/IfoEdit to learn some of the finer details of DVD2DVD ripping. And then move on to DIF4UDCCE4u/ReAithorist when the latter becomes available.
