Stereo to AC3... is it possible???

Hi there... anyone knows if u can re-encode a stereo stream to ac3... I want to make a dvd from a xvid movie... the movie only has stereo sound, and I want to make it 5.1 AC3.. is it possible?

I am not sure how well it work because I've never done it ... but here's a guide for what you want.

PS You might just want to make it a 2ch ac3 file, which will still work in DVDs. If you want to do that, just use BeSweet with ac3enc.
