Hi... First I'm a pure noob in divx encoding so don't flame me if my questions look rather stupid...

I've downloaded & installed gordianknot rippack 0.27 and system pack.
Divx 5.03 is installed too : bundle version + divx.dll (pro)+ registry key.

And I'm facing some....troubles:

1- I can't use the compressibility check. It starts & runs but when finished, I can't see the results where they are supposed to be...

2- I tried encoding "Lilo&Stitch" and "Titan A.E." (b-frames activated) but both have a final size far below the 700Mo I asked.
TitanAE : mp3 file is 85Mo, credits are 37mo ( strictly sticking to the guide parameters) and the movie itself without sound & credit is 466Mo. Final divx film is 599Mo, not 700. Quality was near 0.184. Is gordian knot already encoding in high quality ? But there are ugly artifacts here and there..

3- After the first pass is finished, Gordianknot can not open the log file, asking for a "TitanAE.log" where the only log file I have is labeled "TitanAE_GKnot.log"... Is this a bug or is there something corrupted in my setup ?. GKnot doesn't hang, it simply encodes second pass without correction.

4- Wich is the best resize method ?

Thanks in advance.

Nope, nothing strange here. Everything is working just as expected. Gordian Knot 0.27 can not handle DivX5.03. Read the stickys in the Gordian Knot forum (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48936). You will find answers to your questions in less than 2 minutes. And if you read the GKnot docs you will also find this note:Gordian Knot will only work with the included softwares, NO OTHER VERSIONS ARE SUPPORTEDAnd if you look carefully you'll find that it is DivX5.02 that is included in the system-pack...

You can't have both version installed on your system.
If you want to use pro features, Get the codec included in the latest release of Gknot (althought I'm not sure it's the pro version included) and use read this (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19583) to get rid of the adware

I know, I know.... another workaround is to install the gain version, save divx dll, uninstall gain version, install standard version then replace the divx dll.

Uninstall prog aren't clean, always dust remains in the registry..
