Hey,

I just bought myself a new laptop and i've gotten a really odd problem. Some streams don't show up on either the TV-out or VGA-out but look fine on the LCD. Sometimes changing the depth to 16bit helps but sometimes not even that will do it. Has anyone else had this problem? and if so what did you do to solve it?

You may have to define which is the primary display in Display Properties.

Well the output works on both screens, it's just the stream that doesn't work. Everything else is there including sound, only difference is the player window being totally black.

I also have a laptop, Compaq Armada M700 with an ATI Rage Mobility P/M.

On my laptop, defining the primary display is defining which display gets the video overlay. The other one gets black on the overlay region but I can see the rest of the desktop (if player is not fullscreen).

Overlay is not the same as Output. You can have output on both displays but overlay just on one. Overlay = Video Stream.
