ok.. this first showed it's head after applying the 7.02 update, I haven't had a chance to test it by backing it out and re-installing...

ripped a disc (Black Books I) to ISO, mounted with Dameon Tools
ran IC, 65% reduction, final size 4.31 gb
PDI to ISO
mounted the IC'ISO with Dameon Tools to check the 'disc'
WinDVD played perfectly, zero problems.
Unmouted all Dameon drives
burned the ISO with DVD Decrypter
tried to play the 'physical' disc with WinDVD..
phffffft!
nothing, just sat there... black screen, locked up
figured a bad burn, reboot to clear memory and reburn
phffffff!
ok... take the 'bad' discs to a standalong player...
what does 'HOLD' mean in the display? discs spun up,
locked in.. black screen and .. HOLD
go back to the ISO file, remount in Dameon Tools.
WinDVD plays it just fine.
ok..
leave it mounted in Dameon.. fire up ol'reliable (Prassi).
try to burn the VIDEO_TS folder as a new disc.
terminates with an error immediately.
WTF?
ok... leave the ISO mounted
with Prassi, do a 'disc' to disc (Dameon ISO to A03) copy.
copy terminates with no errors
NEW DISC PLAYS IN WINDVD!
NEW DISC PLAYS IN Standalone!

Huh?

Problem did NOT occur with ANY other disc before or since.
