Hi,
Just about to buy a Fuji S602 camera which can capture movies in VGA mode. These files are exactly 640 X 480 at 30 frames per second in the MJPEG form, with 8 bit interleaved audio (@8khz?) (.avi - play OK in windows media player).
I've downloaded one & tried to convert it with DVD2SVCD , but so far haven't succeeded. I've tried the proggie in AVI mode but it doesn't like 30 fps, so I ran them through virtualdub to change the framerate to either PAL or NTSC but still no go (tried removing the audio as well & upsampling it to 44Khz,16bit). I've also tried the Canopus codec as suggested in the DVD2SVCD AVI hints but the program wouldn't load the MJPEG. (Ulead video studio seems to convert them to SVCD OK but the quality is not up to CCE's high standards). I'm thinking of trying TMPEnc although I'm not too familiar with this.
Anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks,
FF.

I have absolutley no idea what your problem is as your question is all over the place and doesn't state what is happening anywhere.

If you can't even load the avi there is a known bug with the current version of DVD2SVCD. The next release will fix this issue.

In the mean time you could try a previous release.

AVI2SVCD v1.1.1 build 1

AccessViolation Access violation at address 005ABA1D in module 'DVD2SVCD.exe'. Write of address 0000031C

I have no experience with MJPEG but I've read there are various codecs around & that some 'capture cards' use this type of format.
I'll try an older version of the programme as you suggest to see if this works.

This isn't the same problem.
Try a search as this has been discussed many times before.

Chances are there is a problem wth the original AVI.

Check it in Vdub.
