View Full Version : Cell Playback Time - whats the minimum?

After backing up Monsters Inc, there are a number of things that are played before the main menu comes up. This is where all the previews were before. It takes my set top players a while to get to the main menu because it still has to run though the paces as if these previews were still there.

I've noticed that the things that it is playing are those cells of black that are .18 in time or something. The Cell Playback Time is set to like 219 or something. What can I set this to so that the player plays it for the minimum amount of time? Theres about 6 of these that it plays so I'd like to make them all as short as possible so that it gets to the main menu as fast as possible. I've read that some set top players have trouble with cells under 1 second. So what should I set this to? Btw, what is this value? Milliseconds, seconds, or some other measurement of time?

Thanks for any info anyone might have.

Try using this method in this POST (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=286004#post286004) Also look 2 posts up for quick guide.

Your answer to your Cell Playback time is near the end of Step 3a of this guide > Disabling/Bypassing Unwanted Titles (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48566)

Thanks for the info - I'll give that a try.

But what if I've already stripped out the warnings and previews with IFOEdit and all I have left are the .18 entries? Do I still go in and change those to 192 and set the entry sector to the last sector?
