I'm new to the DVD backup scene and this is
my first attempt to do a parcial backup.

I'm only keeping the menu and movie.

I want to keep the menu to being able to select
chapters.

In the movie I just want one audio stream and one
subtitles stream.

After using IFOEdit the movie VOB files have the following sizes:
VTS_01_1.VOB - 1.048.540
VTS_01_2.VOB - 1.047.996
VTS_01_3.VOB - 1.048.314
VTS_01_4.VOB - 856.702

Shouldn't they all (not the nš4) be 1.048.544?

If I burn the DVD with those VOB files will the DVD be standard
and playable on Homecinema DVD players?

a) yes i think they will play on standalone, i THINK the smaller file sizes come from removing various protections etc... not sure though... it could also be an issue with removing audiostreams etc!
b) if you just burn this files plus the .ifo you won't get any menus... they are contained in the vts_0x_0.vob file!! keep that in mind!
