How do i change the bitrate? I get the message:

"the total bitrate(audio+video=2914kpbs)is bigger than the max bitrate specified in the svcd standard."

I tried to change minutes & cd size under"bitrate",but i dont get it right.Plz,help me with this, ive searched trough the forum, but couldnt find an answer.

Hi-

Are you using DVD2SVCD? And maybe you have 2 audio tracks you want to include? The max bitrate of Audio+video can only be 2756. So, if you have two tracks of audio of 224 (for example), then you have to subtract 448 from your max video bitrate to make it 2308.

It looks like maybe you have only one audio track at 224, so the max video bitrate should be something like 2532. And make sure you have the audio bitrate(s) filled in in the Audio Tab.

FitCD is a very good program to help with the bitrate calculations

Hi,yes i am using dcd2svcd.I changed max bitrate to 2532,and now i get another message:"the difference between min and max is less than 120,cce might fail"Im using only one audio track,224.
Thx for replying! :)

Hi-

That sounds like a different problem. In the Audio Tab you have the bitrate set as 224, right? Then in the Bitrate Tab, why don't you hit the "Use Default" button to return the original values. From left to right along the bottom they should be 2530, 300 (although I often raise the minimum), 1600, 2230. That should get rid of the error message. I think the mistake you made was to change the max average, instead of the max, but I could be mistaken.
