Here's a first pass at an audio time scale utility. It will take an input WAV file and create an output WAV file with the duration specified, without changing the pitch of the audio. I'm sure this is not bug-free (see Readme), it's not super fast, and I'm still not convinced that it's completely free of audible artifacts, but I think many who are converting films from/to PAL to/from NTSC will want to give it a try to avoid the 4% pitch change.

Let me know what you think (but please be gentle, I only researched the web to find a decent algorithm to steal...err...borrow).

haven't tried it yet, but a suggestion on geocities: they don't like direct linking, create an index file that has the links on it.

The direct links are OK on Geocities, but seems they have been messed up a little. Here are the correct links:

Thanks for your work!

Sorry all. pacohaas is right, Geocities doesn't like direct links. Here is the indirect link :) : http://www.geocities.com/xesdeeni2001/

Also, I've updated my Standards Conversion page (http://www.geocities.com/xesdeeni2001/StandardsConversion/index.html) to reflect usage of this utility.

This utility still has serious problems, but I'm afraid it will definitely be a while before I get back to it.

Since BeSweet is everyone's favorite audio processor, would it be possible for someone to look into adding this algorithm to BeSweet?

but i don't have the time to work on it...
i suggest that you try creating a plugin with fixed presets (ntsc2pal, etc'..).

btw, which algorithm is being implemented in this code ? (as you can see, i don't even have the time to download..)
