VCR/TV on PC

I just got ATV2000 and tried watching TV/VCR works but for some reason the ATV2000 screen keeps blinking(flashing). I tried a different VCR and it does the same thing. Does anyone know what exactly is the problem causing this and is there anything I missed on configurating it?

I used a Video cable to connect to the video-in on the video card and the other end to the VCR (video - out)

Not so sure what your question is. The software blinks? The picture inside the software blinks?

Well, if you're using shipped software, try some other (better) third party software like iuVCR, VirtualVCR, etc.

If you're saying that the picture is blinking, maybe you're set to the wrong region (would be kind of hard for the shipped software to get the region wrong, but you never know) - PAL in Europe, NTSC in North America.

Try rephrasing a little, and don't be afraid to post screenshots.

While watching TV or a VHS tape, thats what it does... the image shakes (up and down).

I have a P4 2.66ghz Geforce4 ti4200 with VIVO, 512ram. So I'm not using a TV tuner card or a shipped software, just using the Video-In that the Geforce4 provides and connected to a VCR and a freeware software program to watch. I even tried to use the VirtualVCR you mentioned but same problem happens..

Also tried 2 different VCR's, same problem

Could you please change (means edit your post above) your bmp to jpg or gif. Thanks. Not everybody wants to load a bitmap of about one or two megs to view at your picture.:eek:

It definitely looks like you are set to the wrong region. Your webspace is located in Canada, so I assume you should be setting your tuner to NTSC_M. Try finding 'tuner properties' somewhere, it will be available in all programs. I would be very surprised if you are not right now in PAL or SECAM, which would explain your problem.

If this is not the case, try a different input on the card. I've blown out inputs before on cheap cards and problems like this occur... but if it's a new card, you shouldn't have to worry.
