pinnacle studio8 problem

Hi
I am using pinnacle studio8 with DC10 Plus to capture VHS
To my hard drive
I have stopped because the capture window etc is showing
black & white but the vhs is colour.

Is this correct

I tried playing through w/media player and still plays as black
and white

WXP AMD 2000
512 RAM

hope someone with knowledge can help desperate

just in case,
I had a similar experience, but that was only the first time I set it all up, basically due to some mis-connection during set-up.
After re-start the preview window showed color.

Solved
I used an scart adaptor out of vcr ..ignored the S Video and
connected to the yellow viveo out I fitted a convertor on
the end of this single lead and plugged into S Video on my
capture card(I needed to use audio red&white out of vcr and
into Line in on my capture card (making sure Line in was ticked
in Multimedia
