This question was probably already answered before, but I couldn't find it in the forum.
Please don't suggest winamp 2.x because it doesn't seem to recognize my ogg files. Winamp 3 does and I have DSfilters installed (if that matters), but the wav output plugin for winamp 3 is crappy and I don't know how to code a new one.

oggdropxp can decode and encode wav-ogg ogg-wav

Problem of OGG played with Winamp 2.x has been discussed before. You probably received the error message and then Winamp shut down. You need the latest version Winamp 2.81. Install OGG Plugin and everything would be fine.
