downloaded and installed the update.
Although downlad page mentions 7.02 actually it is version 7.0.1.119
setup 0046. Probably 7.02 probably means here update number 2 for IC version 7. Anyhow it is an update.
Did not notice a difference yet, would be nice to now which minor bugs were fixed

We are not analysing the whole dvd-data. Just approx. 30% were checked. The estimated size is calculated, based on this statistic data. It’s a compromise between resizing quality and speed. You can determine the size more exactly by checking more than 30%, but it needs more time.

Due to this 30%-border we created a 6%-security-buffer which is now decreased to 4% and will be decreased more. We are working on a dynamic adaptation to get more precise data and hit the 4.3-aim.

You can change these settings by patching the registry on your own risk. We don't support these features yet. See ID 2206

this update uninstalled my Daemon Tools v3.32 and when I went to reinstall it it wouldn't run (can't find the scsi device...) anyone ?? any other programs i can use to mount an iso file of a dvd into a virtual drive (dont need any super frills, just a small little program)

Ran Blade(region 1, NTSC) thru IC(the new build .119), set menu and extras to 30% and movie to max allowed w/a setting of 4.32. Final was 4.19, a difference of 3%.
Blade is 2.35 ratio, but only english audio and subtitles. I kept all the commentaries.

2.35:1 movie's have a big undersizing issue, losing around 1Gb when you only keep the movie even at 99.90% if they have black bars within the image, but if you keep extras then this takes up that wasted space

now hopefully this update may increase the end result but I'm still not sure they have fixed the black bars issue :(

I only got like 42KB/sec. Anyway here's my mirror hope it's quicker.

Can anyone confirm if the original update is still required? Is this a cumulative update or is it not like crappy office xp sp1 & sp2?

edit: ok I uninstalled then reinstall from scratch. It is cumlative so the old Update is worthless now.

edit: took out my mirror ...4GBs is enough for this update which you can easily get from pinnacle.

p.s.: hm, got this access violation in vobsplit2.ax almost every time, this has nothing to do with winamp

p.p.s: I had a profile which automatically deselected unwanted streams. removing that solved this problem.
another thing is that the preview doesn't work if there is a
vts_0x_0.vob with 0kb size.

Just so you know you have to recreate your desktop shortcut.

Didn't help me .. how stupid can they make a update? I mean, use a freakin' registry and not some shortcuts to indicate installed software. Btw installer does not even do desktop shortcut for me. It still falls to its knees with Red Beard Criterion.
Everytime, Muli Copy error around 60%. I have tried movie only and entire DVD, same result with all versions.

I'm guessing because it is a long, B&W, 2.35:1 anamorphic movie with lots of black space but I thought they fixed it.

As you may have noticed I'm new to this Forum. I've went through quite a few boards first in order to absorb as much information as possible first.

Question: whenever I have installed the latest update for IC, is it recommended to still use/install the IC Hidden Settings editor and instanttool.zip (from MrBass' page)?:)

Also for me it got rid of Daemon Tools while installing the update, which is a bit strange imo.

either one...I think HiddenSettings requires VB6 runtimes so if you have issues with that (most don't) then you instanttool..both do the same thing pretty much (whatever floats your boat)...and then if you have issues with either of the above you can use those reg entries I typed up IC7.01reghacks.zip or just do it manually yourself in regedit.

where have you originally installed IC7 to?, did you use the defualt folder it offered or did you create your own?

I had exactly the same problem as I had installed IC7 originally to a different folder and it was frustrating when it said it couldn't find it so I unistalled IC, and cleaned out my registry by deleting the following Vob entries if they were still there and any remants in the C:\Program files Folder

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Vob
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VOB

now knowing I had completely deleted IC I then reinstalled a nice new fresh version of IC7 using the default folder it states and then the update worked straight away after that

backup your reg so you can always go back if you make a mistake

did you try installing for all users or single user?

took me 3 or 4 attempts to do it but I got there, dunno exactly how but I did so hopefully you can too

ok i tried again a few times and even rebooted every time to be safe but for the life of me i can't get it to work. guess no IC7.02 for me :(
hope they patch the patch as well with the next one.
