video capure freezes after 4gb file size

Hello everyone, i have a weared problem. When i caputre video to the single file that takes more than 4gb of space video caputer stops and audio continues. I mean, after i finish capture, i try to open file, and after some point video doesn't "move" but audio is OK. When i try to find that point when video freezes,and save that file(up to that point) i get approximately 4gb file. Alway happends the same thing.
Here is my configuration:
P3-500mhz, Win2000, hdd is ntfs with plenty of space,
caputre device: bt878 based card (fly video)
programs used :Iuvcr, virtual vcr
resolution: 768x576 (tried other ->same result)
Codeds: Huffyuv or pic video codec(almost lossless)
audio: always uncompressed pcm 44/16/mono
Maybe anyone could help? Thanks in advanced

That's weird man. Usually those filelimits are imposed by the inferior FAT32 filesystem, but you're using NTFS. Hmm.

Well, to be safe you could use segmented AVI files in VirtualDub. I've never used them myself - but it makes one, potentially 60GB AVI file into 60x1GB parts (or whatever ceiling size you choose) and when you open the 1st file, it sees that it's segmented and it will load up all the other parts transparantely (without you seeing, or doing anything). But this means you have to use VDub for capture and encode.

Just out of curiosity - why are you encoding mono?!

I'll try Virtual Dub, heard it is very good capture tool but never tried.
My TV card cannot capture stereo audio(on the card itself left and right channels are short - the same contact) [this is most inexpensive card~40$]

Well, unless you're capturing straight from the tuner (coaxial plugged into machine) you should just plug the audio straight into the Line-In on your sound card. I have a digital cable box hooked up to my machine, S-Video into tuner, stereo audio into sound card(as my card is monoular as well, it makes no sense to plug sound into tuner, and pass-thru to sound card).

Sorry,not sure what you mean Dilly, I have PCI fly video capure card. On it, i have audio in and audio out. When i use TV-tuner, in order to get some sound i have to connect line out on tv card to line in to sound card. Although line in on sound card is of course stereo, but line out on TV card is mono, so if i set audio compression format to stereo - i get absolutely identical signal in both channels.

OK, I understand. Not much you can do

Just to explain.. on my setup, I had audio going into the TV-card in stereo (not through the coaxial-cable, I was hooked up through a digital cable box by composite/RCA -> mini headphonejack) and then being fed back out in mono to my sound card. I just pulled the plug going into TV tuner and plugged it straight into the sound card, and voila two channel sound.
