ok here's my problem: i'm currently using chapterxtractor to extract the chapters from my dvds. then i rename the chapter names to the real names from the booklet and burn it...
anyway somehow from one DVD i cannot find the chapter names. there was no booklet included and there's just the chapter numbers in the dvd- menu. so does anybody know a site where i can look up the chapter names? or does anybody have the DVD, namely SHREK, and can post the chapter names here?

i don't think this would be illegal, since i own the DVD myself...

regards and thanks for your help

If you own the dvd, can't you go to the dvd select chapters section and look at the chapter names? I can't remember if the chapters are labeled or not.

There's software called ChapterGrabber (http://jvance.com/hitme.aspx?url=projects.aspx?p=ChapterGrabber) that downloads chapter names automatically from Barnes & Noble (http://video.barnesandnoble.com/).

Shrek's chapter names are here (http://video.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?VIEW=SCN&EAN=667068901221&userid=3D4PKJ7JRN#scene).

Howdy, I have been updating ChapterGrabber recently, but I'm on spring break and don't have access to the internet with my development computers so I won't be able to upload any updates untill the beginning of next week. I also apologize that the website seems to be down. I'll check into that.

unfortunately the downloadable file does not work.
what seems strange: you state on the page that the download is 108 kb but the file i get is only 12 kb... unzipped 48 ... perhaps this is the problem... i get the following error (translated from german) "unable to initialize (0xc0000135). Click ok to terminate application"

[edit:] i've also updated chapterXtractor to the latest version... doesn't matter though...

@killingspree: that error message doesn't help at all but I believe that is the error message you get if you don't have the .NET framework installed. You can download the .NET framework from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d7158dee-a83f-4e21-b05a-009d06457787&DisplayLang=en

With regard to the filesize issue, I need to update that incorrect information (as I simply copy/pasted from DVD2XCD page and forgot to change it).

I can confirm that the error message you got is because the .NET framework is not installed. I was under the impression that a XP machine with Service Pack 1 was .NET ready but this seems to be false in your case. Can you verify .NET framework exists on your machine? You can verify by checking the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > .NET Configuration icon exists.

Thanks

i can confirm it does NOT exist...
i will download the .net framework as soon as possible (just got dial up here so it might take a while, depending on the size - iirc it's pretty large!)

thanks for your help
