been using ifoedit to backup my x-files series, 1+2 Ok but now starting series 3, very different VOB structure.am going to have to done some more research/reading!
ripped the usual way, dvddecrypter (all files).tried stripping the unwanted audio using VOB extras. after pressing "get VTS sectors" am getting the following message
error opening F:\ifoedit\VTS_02_0.ifo seems it doesn't exist
there's something wrong
the IFO Endsector does not match the file size
message is repeated for
vts. 03_0.ifo
vts. 04_0.ifo
vts. 05_0.ifo
tried again twice but no change, any ideas
tried to play in ifoedit but gives message "Dvd warning could not open a file on Dvd disc
tried disc 2 same problem
cheers

Please be very specific with your spelling of VOB file names, looking at your post....

"error opening F:\instantcopy\vts_o2.ifo seems it doesn't exist"

The simple answer is that vts_o2.ifo is NOT a valid filename.

Please type the exact error again.

cheers for the reply Vidhack
filnames are as follows
error opening F:\instantcopy\VTS_02_0.IFO it seems it does not exist, there is something wrong
the IFO Endsector does not match the file size
repeated for the following
VTS_03_0.IFO
VTS_04_0.IFO
VTS_05_0.IFO
this is after it has stripped the audio out of VTS_01.IFO
any ideas

When you pressed your Get VTS Sectors button immediately after IFOedit is done stripping, IFOedit is trying to correct your files in your "destination" folder. You need to copy the ones missing in your destination folder from your source folder over. Select a IFO in your destination folder and then get VTS Sectors. That is why you are having "Dvd warning could not open a file on Dvd disc".

hello
I get this same error but when stripping angles.. I explain; I am using ifoedit to remove angles from a movie, only one vts has angles, after it finishes, it says this endsector error.. I don't know if it has a dramatic consequence.
